HANMI Semiconductor announced on Oct. 18th that cumulative sales of 'Vision Placement' equipment surpassed 2020 units.
Vision Placement is equipment that cleans, dries, inspects, selects semiconductor packages cut from wafers and performs loading process. With equipment needed to produce semiconductors, HANMI has achieved a total of 1.9 trillion won in sales since its first release in 1998. HANMI is the No. 1 company with 80% of market share.
According to a market research company, Gartner, demands for semiconductors are expected to increase significantly in 2021 due to the recovery of demand for IT devices that have shrunk to Corona19.
The semiconductor market is expected to reach $456 billion next year, up 11.5% from this year's estimated size, which is expected to increase demand for semiconductor equipment needed for semiconductor chip production.
"Vision Placement is an essential equipment that must be used regardless of semiconductor types such as memory and non-memory," said Kim Min-hyun, president of Hanmi Semiconductor.
